On the 18th and 19th of April 2018 the first thematic COMSYN Workshop has been held with the main topic “2nd Generation Biofuels”. 56 biofuels experts and interested scientists from all over Europe conducted intense discussions about the opportunities as well as the challenges of the production of alternative fuels.
The first day contained speeches about the general research funding programs in the EU in the field of biofuels, current projects and a detailed overview and description about the content and the individual tasks within the COMSYN project.
On the second day insights were granted into the facilities of the project partner INERATEC (Fischer-Tropsch micro reactors) and the pilot plant bioliq® at KIT. The subsequent discussion was enriched by lectures from KIT and HAW.
Within the COMSYN project two more workshops are about to be held in Czech Republic (2019) and in Finland (2020). For more details about these events as well as the current status of our project stay tuned with the COMSYN website.
